Andre Braugher, Star of ‘The Mist,’ Has Passed Away at Age 61
Renowned actor Andre Braugher, a double Primetime Emmy winner known for his remarkable presence in both the Stephen King Universe and across diverse television and film roles, has passed away at 61 after a brief illness, as reported by CNN.
Horror enthusiasts fondly recall Braugher’s memorable performances, notably as Brent Norton in Frank Darabont’s adaptation of Stephen King’s “The Mist” in 2007. Prior to this, he entered King’s world by portraying Matt Burke in the 2004 “Salem’s Lot” miniseries.
Braugher clinched Primetime Emmy Awards for his exceptional work in “Homicide: Life on the Street” in 1998 and “Thief” in 2006. His talent was further recognized with nominations for “Brooklyn Nine-Nine,” “Men of a Certain Age,” “Gideon’s Crossing,” and “The Tuskegee Airmen.”
