Actress Tisa Farrow, Star of ‘Zombi 2’ and ‘Antropophagus,’ Passes Away
Renowned for her portrayal of Anne Bowles in Lucio Fulci’s iconic Italian horror film ‘Zombi 2’ (also known as ‘Zombie’), actress Tisa Farrow has passed away at the age of 72.
Mia Farrow, her sister, shared the news on Instagram, expressing heartfelt sentiments: “If there is a Heaven, undoubtedly my beautiful sister Tisa is being welcomed there. She was the best of us – I have never met a more generous and loving person.” Mia Farrow praised Tisa’s positive outlook on life, her 27-year career as a nurse, and her roles as a devoted sister and mother to Jason, Bridget, and grandson Kylor.
Tisa Farrow’s unexpected passing occurred in her sleep, leaving a profound impact on those who admired and loved her deeply. Lucio Fulci’s 1979 classic ‘Zombi 2’ was a significant milestone in her horror career, solidifying her status as a “scream queen.” She continued to contribute to the genre with her role in Joe D’Amato’s 1980 cannibal film ‘Antropophagus.’
Her acting journey spanned from 1970 to 1980, featuring roles in films such as ‘Homer’ (1970), ‘Only God Knows’ (1974), ‘Strange Shadows in an Empty Room’ (1976), ‘The Initiation of Sarah’ (1978), ‘Fingers’ (1978), ‘Search and Destroy’ (1979), and ‘The Last Hunter’ (1980). Following her departure from acting, Tisa Farrow pursued a career as a nurse in Vermont.
