Paramount+ with SHOWTIME has announced that the highly anticipated Yellowjackets Season 3 will premiere in early 2025. The season will debut with two episodes on Friday, February 14, exclusively for subscribers with the Paramount+ with SHOWTIME plan, available to stream and on-demand. The on-air premiere will follow on Sunday, February 16.
The season will also launch internationally on February 14, available on Paramount+ in the UK, Australia, Latin America, Brazil, Italy, Germany, Switzerland, and Austria, with France receiving the series later in the year.
Joining the all-star cast for Season 3 is two-time Academy Award-winner Hilary Swank (Million Dollar Baby) in a guest role, along with Joel McHale (Community).
Created by Ashley Lyle and Bart Nickerson (Narcos), Yellowjackets follows a group of talented high school girls’ soccer players who become the survivors of a plane crash in the remote northern wilderness. The series chronicles their transformation from a close-knit team to savage factions, while also tracking their lives nearly 25 years later, revealing that the past is never truly behind them and that the horrors they faced in the wilderness are far from over.
The upcoming 10-episode season will pick up following the shocking events of the Season 2 finale.
Returning cast members include Emmy nominees Melanie Lynskey (Castle Rock), Christina Ricci (Z: The Beginning of Everything), Lauren Ambrose (Servant), and Jasmin Savoy Brown (The Leftovers), as well as Tawny Cypress (Unforgettable), Sophie Nélisse (The Book Thief), Sophie Thatcher (Heretic), Samantha Hanratty (Shameless), Courtney Eaton (Mad Max: Fury Road), Liv Hewson (Santa Clarita Diet), Steven Krueger (The Originals), Warren Kole (Shades of Blue), Kevin Alves (Locke & Key), Sarah Desjardins (The Night Agent), and Simone Kessell (Obi-Wan Kenobi). Elijah Wood (The Lord of the Rings) will also return in a recurring role.
Yellowjackets is executive produced by Lyle, Nickerson, and fellow showrunner Jonathan Lisco. Drew Comins of Creative Engine serves as an executive producer along with Jeff W. Byrd, Sarah L. Thompson, Ameni Rozsa, and Brad Van Arragon. The series is produced for SHOWTIME by Lionsgate Television.
