“Werewolves” Featuring Frank Grillo Brings Practical Effects to Life This December
Briarcliff Entertainment and The Solution Entertainment Group are teaming up to bring Steven C. Miller’s thrilling werewolf movie, “Werewolves,” to theaters, according to a recent report from Deadline.
Starring Frank Grillo, “Werewolves” is set to hit theaters on December 6, 2024, promising audiences an adrenaline-fueled ride reminiscent of “The Purge”… but with werewolves.
The film’s premise is as captivating as it is chilling: during a supermoon event, a dormant gene is activated in every human, transforming them into werewolves for one fateful night. The catastrophic outcome sees nearly a billion lives lost in the chaos. Now, as the Supermoon makes its return a year later, the world braces for another night of terror.
Joining Grillo in the cast are Katrina Law (“NCIS”), Ilfenesh Hadera (“Godfather Of Harlem”), James Michael Cummings (“City On The Hill”), and Lou Diamond Phillips (“Prodigal Son”).
Penned by Matthew Kennedy (“Inheritance”), the screenplay sets the stage for a gripping tale of survival against supernatural odds.
Myles Nestel, co-CEO of The Solution, expresses enthusiasm for the film’s release, stating, “We are super excited to be releasing Werewolves later this year exclusively in theatres… The use of practical werewolves designed and built by Alec Gillis and Tom Woodruff Jr (known from the Alien and Predator series) takes the genre back to its roots in a fresh and exciting way.”
With a stellar cast, an intriguing premise, and the promise of practical effects, “Werewolves” is poised to deliver an unforgettable cinematic experience that harks back to the golden age of horror.
