Venom 3″ Adds “Letterkenny” Star Clark Backo to its Cast
Tom Hardy is set to reprise his role as Venom in Sony’s highly anticipated sequel, “Venom 3,” slated for release later this year. Joining the cast is Clark Backo, known for her role in “Letterkenny,” although her specific role in the film has not yet been disclosed.
Originally planned for a July release, “Venom 3” will now hit theaters on November 8, 2024. The film will feature Chiwetel Ejiofor and Juno Temple in key roles.
Kelly Marcel, who penned the scripts for the first two installments of the Venom franchise, will take the helm as director for the third movie. Additionally, Marcel will handle production duties and has crafted the screenplay for the upcoming film.
While plot details remain under wraps, it’s confirmed that Tom Hardy will return as the lethal protector Venom, following the success of the first two films which collectively grossed $1.36 billion worldwide. It’s unclear which other characters from the Sony Pictures Universe of Marvel Characters will appear in the film.
“Venom” was directed by Ruben Fleischer, while Andy Serkis helmed its sequel, “Venom: Let There Be Carnage,” released in 2021. The sequel expanded the Venom universe within the broader Marvel Cinematic Universe, hinting at further connections in the upcoming installment.
Producing “Venom 3” are Avi Arad, Matt Tolmach, Amy Pascal, and Hutch Parker, promising an exciting continuation of the Venom saga.
