V/H/S/85 Returns the Found Footage Franchise to Blu-ray in February

The V/H/S franchise delved into the eerie realms of the 1980s with “V/H/S/85” on Shudder this past Halloween season, and now the horror movie is set to hit Blu-ray next month.

RLJE Films will release “V/H/S/85” on DVD and Blu-ray starting February 27. The special features included are:

1. Filmmaker audio commentary
2. ‘Dreamkill’ uncut Super 8 footage
3. Uninterrupted cuts

The film features five new horror stories from the filmmakers behind “The Black Phone,” “Hellraiser,” and “Scream.”

In “V/H/S/85,” unveiled through a made-for-TV documentary, five chilling tales emerge:

1. Scientists observe an unusual boy fixated on his TV.
2. Kids embark on a lake skiing adventure.
3. A TV crew fights to survive a natural disaster.
4. The early days of VR awaken something terrifying.
5. A deadly dream is captured on tape.

“Sinister secrets of the 1980s come to life in a way you’ve never seen before.”

“V/H/S/85” joins the expanding franchise, which includes films such as “V/H/S,” “V/H/S/2,” “V/H/S: Viral,” “V/H/S/94,” “V/H/S/99,” and the spinoff feature “SiREN.”

The directors involved in “V/H/S/85” include:

1. David Bruckner, known for “Amateur Night” in the first V/H/S.
2. Scott Derrickson, renowned for “The Black Phone” and “Sinister.”
3. Gigi Saul Guerrero, a popular Mexican filmmaker.
4. Natasha Kermani, an up-and-coming filmmaker with successful indie films.
5. Mike P. Nelson, director of “The Domestics” and the “Wrong Turn” remake.

Writers for the film are C. Robert Cargill, Zoe Cooper, and Evan Dickson.

The cast features Freddy Rodriguez alongside Jordan Belfi, James Ransone, Dani Deetté, Rolando Davila-Beltran, Justen Jones, Marcio Moreno, Ari Gallegos, Forrest Hartl, Duffy McManus, Eric Pierson, Felipe de Lara, Tom Reed, and Vivian Morse.
