Upcoming Horror Film ‘Tooth Fairy’ from Producers of Netflix’s ‘Nowhere’
More than two decades after the release of Darkness Falls, the menacing presence of the Tooth Fairy is poised to haunt the silver screen once again in an upcoming horror movie, as reported by Deadline this week.
“UK sales firm Architect is launching ahead of the EFM in Berlin,” states Deadline.
The forthcoming horror film hails from the producers of the Netflix streaming sensation Nowhere, recognized as “the streamerâs most-watched Spanish-language film ever,” according to Deadline.
Nowhere, a Spanish-language film, unfolds a chilling tale of child disappearances in a close-knit rural community in Spain. As a social worker delves into the village’s myths and legends, she unwittingly reawakens a terrifying, vengeful spirit.
Jordi Roca, producing alongside Miguel Ruz, expressed excitement about introducing Tony to a broader audience, describing him as a rising star deeply immersed in the world of horror movies. Tooth Fairy, expanding on Tony’s unsettling short film, serves as the ideal showcase for his talents. The collaboration with Reagent and Architect aims to bring Tony’s nightmare to life.
Set to commence filming in Summer 2024, Tooth Fairy will be directed by Tony Morales. Interestingly, the film is an adaptation of Morales’ own 2015 short film titled Hada.
