Neon Noir, the production company co-founded by Marcel Walz, Sarah French, and Joe Knetter, has completed the principal photography for their second film venture, titled ‘Garden of Eden‘.
The movie, which was shot in the Los Angeles area, delves into weighty subject matter that is expected to generate controversy as it makes its way through the film festival circuit.

In ‘Garden of Eden’, the devoutly Christian Eden family strives to lead a virtuous life according to God’s word, setting an example of moral righteousness. Their remarkable success in business has made them exceedingly wealthy, and in their desire to give back, the family hosts lavish garden parties. Each fortunate guest who discovers a hidden key is granted their deepest, most cherished wish. However, what may be a dream come true for some can turn into a living nightmare for others.
Director Marcel Walz (known for ‘Pretty Boy’) expressed his heartfelt joy upon completing ‘Garden of Eden’, stating, “This has been an extraordinary experience for me, witnessing the cast and crew pour so much love and artistry into a film that explores such unsettling and controversial themes. We have created something truly exceptional.”
Writer Joe Knetter elaborated, “There were instances where we questioned whether we were pushing the boundaries too far. But this isn’t mere exploitation; every element serves the narrative. Ultimately, there is a certain beauty in the brutality portrayed. We aim for the audience to deeply reflect on what they have witnessed and ponder its significance.”
French, a producer for the film, shared her enthusiasm, saying, “I am passionate about working on films that challenge conventions, push boundaries, and feature multi-dimensional characters. It’s a natural choice for me to be involved in producing such thought-provoking works.”
Starring Robert Rusler, Monique T. Parent, Sarah French, and Sarah Polednak as the Eden Family, with Gigi Gustin, Sarah Nicklin, and Dazelle Yvette in supporting roles, ‘Garden of Eden’ promises to captivate audiences with its haunting tale.
Marcus Friedlander serves as the Director of Photography, ensuring the film’s visual prowess is beautifully captured.
