What would you risk to be the best? Universal has just unveiled the official teaser trailer for HIM, the latest horror movie from Jordan Peele’s Monkeypaw Productions. Check out the trailer below and get ready to experience HIM in theaters on September 19, 2025.
From the mind of Oscar® winner Jordan Peele, the creator of Get Out, Us, Candyman, and Nope, HIM delves deep into the world of fame, obsession, and the price of greatness. The film features a gripping performance from Marlon Wayans (Air, Respect) in a role that explores the dark side of idolization.
HIM follows Cameron Cade (Tyriq Withers, I Know What You Did Last Summer), a promising college quarterback whose life revolves around football. Just before the prestigious NFL scouting Combine, Cam suffers a devastating injury from a fan attack, threatening his career and his future.
In a twist of fate, Cam is offered a second chance by his idol, Isaiah White (Marlon Wayans), a legendary eight-time championship-winning quarterback. Isaiah invites him to his secluded estate for intense training, along with his wife, Elsie White (Julia Fox, Uncut Gems, No Sudden Move), an influencer with a powerful presence. As Cam’s training intensifies, Isaiah’s charm begins to morph into something far more sinister, leading Cam down a dangerous path that may cost him more than just his career.
The film features a diverse supporting cast, including Tim Heidecker (Us), Jim Jefferies (The Jim Jefferies Show), MMA fighter Maurice Greene, and musical talents Guapdad 4000 and Tierra Whack, all making their feature film debuts.
Directed by Justin Tipping (Kicks) and based on a screenplay by Zack Akers and Skip Bronkie (Limetown), HIM is produced by Ian Cooper (Nope, Us), Jordan Peele, Win Rosenfeld (Candyman, Lovecraft Country), and Jamal M. Watson (Hala, Sprinter) under the Monkeypaw banner. Executive producers include David Kern and Kate Oh from Monkeypaw.
