Tubi Secures Thriller Comedy Series ‘Dead Hot’ for US & Canada Premiere
Tubi, the renowned streaming platform known for its vast library of content offered at no cost to viewers, has announced today the acquisition of “Dead Hot,” an original series blending elements of thriller and comedy genres.
“Dead Hot” is set to make its debut on Tubi in both the United States and Canada.
According to THR, the series, set in Liverpool, follows the journey of two twenty-somethings, Elliot and Jess, who are brought together by the shared grief of losing Peter—Elliot’s and Jess’ twin brother’s first and only love, who disappeared under mysterious circumstances five years earlier. Still grappling with the trauma, the duo plunges into a hedonistic lifestyle, seeking solace in parties while clinging to a glimmer of hope for closure.
The British series boasts a talented cast including Bilal Hasna, Vivian Oparah, Penelope Wilton, and Peter Serafinowicz. Viewers can anticipate six gripping episodes when “Dead Hot” lands on Tubi.
“Dead Hot” comes from the creative mind of Charlotte Coben (“The Stranger,” “Stay Close”), who serves as creator, writer, and producer of the series.
THR also reveals that “Dead Hot” is set to premiere on Amazon Prime Video in the UK on March 1st.
