The forthcoming slasher film, “Founders Day,” is making its exclusive debut in cinemas on January 19, 2024, and has just unveiled its official, “R”-rated trailer.
The movie, described as a “bold political slasher” crafted by the Bloomquist Brothers, unfolds in a small town amidst a fervent mayoral election. As the town grapples with an unsettling series of ominous murders, tensions rise and suspicions run wild. The looming presence of a masked killer casts a chilling shadow over every street, prompting the townsfolk to hastily seek out the truth before fear engulfs their community.
“We’re thrilled to collaborate with the Dark Sky team, who share our passion for the impact of genre cinema,” expressed the Bloomquist brothers. “Amidst the turmoil of contemporary politics, ‘The Founder’ is poised to captivate American audiences.”
“Founders Day” is helmed by Erik Bloomquist, with the screenplay crafted by Erik and Carson Bloomquist. The cast features Devin Druid (known for “13 Reasons Why”), Emilia McCarthy (“SkyMed”), Amy Hargreaves (“13 Reasons Why”), Catherine Curtin (“Stranger Things”), William Russ (“Boy Meets World”), Naomi Grace (“NCIS”), Olivia Nikkanen (“The Society”), Jayce Bartok (“When They See Us”), Andrew Stewart Jones (“Gotham”), Tyler James White (“The Villains of Valley View”), Erik Bloomquist (“Weekenders”), Adam Weppler (“Long Lost”), Kate Edmonds (“The Third Saturday in October”), Dylan Slade, and Arun Cameron Storrs in leading roles.
