Franck Khalfoun, known for directing films like “P2” and the 2012 remake of “Maniac,” is set to make this Halloween season even spookier with his latest project, “Night of the Hunted.” The film, brought to you by Shudder, recently had its world premiere at Beyond Fest 2023 and is gearing up to exclusively stream on Shudder from next Friday, October 20. You can catch a glimpse of what’s in store in the official trailer above.

Taking place in the heart of the American West, “Night of the Hunted” introduces us to Alice, portrayed by Camilla Rowe. What starts as a seemingly innocent road trip quickly transforms into a terrifying fight for survival when a vengeful sniper singles her out and traps her at a remote and desolate gas station. Shudder teases the film as “an indictment of modern polarized politics,” promising an intense and nail-biting thriller set in a confined location.

“Night of the Hunted” boasts the producing talents of Alexandre Aja, the mastermind behind horror hits like “High Tension,” “The Hills Have Eyes,” and “Crawl.” This marks the third collaboration between Aja and director Franck Khalfoun.

The screenplay for the film was penned by Franck Khalfoun and Glen Freyer.
