Trailer for ‘Krazy House’: Nick Frost Takes on a Distorted ’90s Sitcom in the Upcoming Horror-Comedy

Highlighted among the exciting horror films at this year’s Sundance Film Festival is “Krazy House,” a movie set to subvert the traditional ’90s sitcom with a gory horror twist.

Directed and written by Steffen Haars and Flip van der Kuil, the film unfolds when Russian workers in Bernie’s home are revealed to be wanted criminals. Bernie is then compelled to step up and rescue his ’90s sitcom family.

The official trailer for “Krazy House” is ingeniously presented as a retro ’90s TV spot for a family sitcom, with the final moments teasing the horror movie twist. The atmosphere suggests that there might be “Too Many Cooks” in this particular kitchen.

Nick Frost, known for his role in “Shaun of the Dead,” takes the lead alongside Alicia Silverstone, with a cast that also features Jan Bijvoet, Gaite Jansen, Walt Klink, and Kevin Connolly. The upcoming genre-bender is produced by Maarten Swart.

As the Sundance Film Festival unfolds from January 18 to 24, 2024, stay tuned for our coverage of world premiere horror movies, including our review of “Krazy House.”
