Apple TV+ unveils the trailer for “Constellation,” an upcoming eight-part psychological thriller drama series featuring Noomi Rapace and Jonathan Banks. Scheduled to premiere globally on Wednesday, February 21, 2024, with the release of the first three episodes, the action-packed space adventure will continue with a weekly episode every Wednesday through March 27, exclusively on Apple TV+.
Created and written by Peter Harness, known for works such as “Wallander” and “The War of the Worlds,” “Constellation” follows Rapace’s character, Jo, an astronaut who returns to Earth after a space disaster, only to find crucial aspects of her life mysteriously absent. This exploration of the dark corners of human psychology unfolds as Jo embarks on a desperate quest to unveil the truth about the hidden history of space travel and recover what she has lost.
The stellar cast includes James D’Arcy, Julian Looman, William Catlett, Barbara Sukowa, and introduces Rosie and Davina Coleman as Alice.
Directed by Emmy Award winner Michelle MacLaren, along with Oscar nominees Oliver Hirschbiegel and Joseph Cedar, the series promises an intense journey into the psychological and mysterious realms of space. MacLaren also serves as an executive producer alongside Rebecca Hobbs and co-executive producer Jahan Lopes for MacLaren Entertainment. Peter Harness, through Haunted Barn Ltd., takes on the role of executive producer.
“Constellation” is produced by Turbine Studios and Haut et Court TV, with executive producers David Tanner, Tracey Scoffield, Caroline Benjo, Simon Arnal, Carole Scotta, and Justin Thomson. The series, shot primarily in Germany, was Series Produced by Daniel Hetzer for Turbine Studios.
