Change is on the horizon…
In this “daring political slasher” from the Bloomquist Brothers, a quiet town finds itself in turmoil due to a series of unsettling murders occurring in the days leading up to a contentious mayoral election.
With accusations flying and the specter of a masked killer casting a dark shadow over every street corner, the town’s inhabitants must race against time to unearth the truth before fear consumes them all.
“Founders Day” was helmed by Erik Bloomquist, with the screenplay penned by Erik and Carson Bloomquist.
The Bloomquist brothers shared their excitement about entering the realm of whodunit slashers. They expressed their eagerness to bring their own brand of mystery, infused with mischief and blood, to life on the screen. They see “Founders Day” as a slasher that mirrors the world we live in today and are eagerly anticipating the speculation about the identity of the masked antagonist.
The film boasts a cast that includes Devin Druid (“13 Reasons Why”), Emilia McCarthy (“SkyMed”), Amy Hargreaves (“13 Reasons Why”), Catherine Curtin (“Stranger Things”), William Russ (“Boy Meets World”), Naomi Grace (“NCIS”), Olivia Nikkanen (“The Society”), Jayce Bartok (“When They See Us”), Andrew Stewart Jones (“Gotham”), Tyler James White (“The Villains of Valley View”), Erik Bloomquist (“Weekenders”), Adam Weppler (“Long Lost”), Kate Edmonds (“The Third Saturday in October”), Dylan Slade, and Arun Cameron Storrs.
