Together: Alison Brie and Dave Franco Set to Star in Co-Dependency Horror Film
Actress Alison Brie and her husband, actor Dave Franco, are teaming up once again, this time for a new horror film titled “Together.”
Variety has announced that the upcoming horror feature will mark the directorial debut of Michael Shanks, who also penned the script. While specific plot details are being kept under wraps, the film is described as exploring the horrors of co-dependency in a unique manner. Given that Brie and Franco are married in real life, their involvement is expected to add an intriguing layer to the exploration of co-dependency within the horror genre.
This project marks another collaboration for the couple, who previously worked together on Franco’s directorial debut, “The Rental,” in 2020. In that film, two couples face terrifying revelations during a weekend getaway, highlighting the tension and secrets among the characters. Brie has also appeared in projects such as “Scream 4,” “The Little Hours,” and “The Disaster Artist.”
Reflecting on their partnership during “The Rental,” Franco praised Brie’s ability to balance drama with levity, providing invaluable support during his directorial debut. Franco himself has appeared in various horror projects, including “Fright Night” and “Warm Bodies.”
In addition to starring in “Together,” Brie and Franco will also serve as producers alongside production companies Picturestart, Tango, 1.21, and Princess Pictures, with financing from Tango, Picturestart, and 30West.
Fans can anticipate further updates on “Together” as production progresses.
