Gravitas Ventures is set to release the new film “The Woods Are Real” next month, and we have a look at the trailer for director Alix Lambert’s latest creation.

Scheduled to hit Digital outlets on March 12, 2024, “The Woods Are Real” promises to deliver a folk horror experience with a unique twist on the story of Job. Dive into the trailer below to get a glimpse of what’s in store.

The film follows Joba and Quincy, a progressive couple from Brooklyn who pride themselves on their social activism and philanthropy. However, their beliefs are put to the test when their friend Caleb returns from a rural retreat, challenging their convictions. Despite initial skepticism, Joba and Quincy accept an invitation to visit the same off-grid location, only to find themselves ensnared in a mysterious web of events.

As they arrive at a rustic cabin in the woods adorned with relics of a bygone era, they soon realize that their comfortable lives are unraveling. Their bank accounts are emptied, digital records erased, and family businesses in shambles. Attempting to flee, they find themselves trapped in the enigmatic wilderness, facing a spiritual trial of survival.

Starring Matt Dellapina, Campbell Scott, Chinasa Ogbuagu, Nick Westrate, Jeffrey Omura, Kathleen McElfresh, Teresa Avia Lim, Laura Esposito, Tasha Milkman, Eli Hanson, Rebecca J. Sawchuk, and Nicole M. DeLuca, “The Woods Are Real” promises an immersive and chilling cinematic experience under the direction of Alix Lambert.
