AMC’s acclaimed anthology series “The Terror” is set to make its return with a new installment titled “The Terror: Devil in Silver” in 2025, as announced by AMC today. The series, known for its gripping blend of historical drama and supernatural horror, first premiered in 2018 with a chilling season set aboard a doomed Victorian Era sailing ship, followed by a second season titled “The Terror: Infamy” in 2019, which delved into a malevolent force haunting a Japanese internment camp.
Based on Victor LaValle’s novel of the same name, “The Terror: Devil in Silver” will introduce audiences to Pepper, a blue-collar mover who finds himself unjustly confined to New Hyde Psychiatric Hospital. Amidst a nightmarish landscape of forgotten souls and hidden horrors, Pepper must confront both the sinister forces lurking within the institution and the demons of his own past to secure his freedom.
Renowned filmmaker Karyn Kusama, known for her work on “Jennifer’s Body” and the hit series “Yellowjackets,” will helm the first two episodes of the series, promising an immersive and spine-tingling experience for viewers.
