Carter Smith, the director behind “The Ruins,” returns with an exciting new thriller titled “The Passenger,” which marks the latest collaboration between Blumhouse and EPIX. Starring Johnny Berchtold from “Gaslit” and Kyle Gallner from “Scream,” the official trailer for the film has been unveiled.
Fans can look forward to experiencing “The Passenger” as it becomes available for digital purchase or rental on August 4, 2023. The film will also be released on MGM+ later this year.
In the movie, Randolph Bradley (played by Johnny Berchtold) prefers to stay unnoticed. However, when his coworker Benson (portrayed by Kyle Gallner) goes on a violent killing spree, Randolph is compelled to confront his fears and delve into his troubled past in order to survive. The talented Liza Weil, known for her roles in “The Cleaning Lady” and “How To Get Away With Murder,” also stars in the film.
Jack Stanley has penned the script for “The Passenger,” which is executive produced by Jason Blum, Chris McCumber, and Jeremy Gold on behalf of Blumhouse TV. Additionally, Lauren Downey, known for her work on Blumhouse Television’s “Into the Dark” and “Bingo Hell,” is involved in the project as well.
