‘The Land of Nod’: ‘Skinamarink’ Director Collaborates with A24 for New Horror Film
Kyle Edward Ball, the director behind last year’s viral sensation ‘Skinamarink‘, is teaming up with A24 for his next horror film, titled ‘The Land of Nod’, as reported by Variety.
While plot details remain under wraps, Ball is set to write and direct the project, which A24 will release globally.
The film’s production team includes Ronald Bronstein, Eli Bush, and Josh Safdie from Central Pictures, along with Lawrence Inglee, Daniel Noah, and Elijah Wood from SpectreVision. Tatiana Bears and Bruno Vernaschi Berman are also producing, with Theo Vieljeux serving as executive producer.
‘Skinamarink’ was a groundbreaking indie film that sparked significant discussion, despite being divisive among audiences. With a budget of just $15,000, it made waves by grossing $2 million at the box office after its theatrical release by IFC Films early last year. The film’s eerie premise follows two children who wake in the night to find their father missing and all the doors and windows of their home gone.
With a larger budget and the backing of A24 and notable producers, fans are eager to see what Kyle Edward Ball will create next. Stay tuned for updates!
