‘Suitable Flesh’ Set for UK Cinema and TVOD Release on October 27
Shudder and Vertigo Releasing have exciting news to share as they prepare for the release of “Suitable Flesh,” the opening film at FrightFest. This chilling horror movie will hit cinemas and TVOD on October 27th, with its Shudder debut scheduled for January 2024.
Based on a story by H.P. Lovecraft, the mastermind behind “Color Out of Space” and “Re-Animator,” “Suitable Flesh” delves into the world of Psychiatrist Elizabeth Derby. Her fascination with aiding a young patient grappling with severe personality disorder takes a sinister turn, leading her into the realms of dark occult danger as she battles to escape a nightmarish destiny.
The film, directed by Joe Lynch (“Point Blank,” “Mayhem”), features an all-star cast including Heather Graham (“Lost in Space,” “Boogie Nights,” “Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me”), Judah Lewis (“Demolition,” “The Babysitter”), Bruce Davison (“X-Men,” “Insidious: The Last Key”), Johnathon Schaech (“The Night Clerk”), and Barbara Crampton (“You’re Next,” “Beyond The Gates,” “Lords of Salem”).
FrightFest, the UK’s premier community-driven horror and fantasy film festival, is back for its 24th edition, sponsored by pioneering technology and entertainment company Pigeon Shrine. Pigeon Shrine, founded by Tom Paton, in collaboration with industry finance experts Jamie McLeod-Ross and Charley McDougall, is at the forefront of this year’s festival.
Running from August 24th to August 28th at Cineworld Leicester Square, London, Pigeon Shrine FrightFest promises an exhilarating celebration of genre cinema. Over five days, audiences can immerse themselves in a captivating showcase of horror and fantasy with seventy films screened across four screens. The festival boasts twenty-five world premieres, twenty-three International/European premieres, and twelve UK premieres, representing fourteen countries and spanning five continents.
“Suitable Flesh” will kick off FrightFest on August 24th, marking the beginning of this thrilling cinematic extravaganza.
