Director John Asher (‘Diamonds’) is heading into the wilderness with his latest project, a Sasquatch horror film titled ‘Bigfoot‘. Deadline has exclusively revealed details about this upcoming film from STX Entertainment and Citizen Skull Productions.

According to Deadline, ‘Bigfoot’ brings the legendary creature into a modern setting, where it terrorizes a housing development in a small mountain town. The story follows the town’s new sheriff as she battles to protect her daughter from the beast’s attacks.

Jordan Reid wrote the screenplay for the film.

Interestingly, Deadline notes that John Asher is the grandson of E.M. Asher, an associate producer on the classic films ‘Dracula’ (1931) and ‘Frankenstein’ (1931).

Asher commented, “Since ‘Jaws’, audiences have been afraid of the water. After seeing ‘Bigfoot’, they’ll think twice about entering the forest.”

Mark Myers of Citizen Skull Productions added, “When I read the script, I was absolutely blown away. This movie is incredibly terrifying and will keep audiences on the edge of their seats.”
