Steven Schneider, Producer of ‘Paranormal Activity,’ Announces Next Genre Film Project: ‘Boyfriend’
Producer Steven Schneider, known for his work on iconic horror films like “Paranormal Activity” and “Insidious,” is gearing up for his next venture into the genre with “Boyfriend.” Directed by Anne Hamilton, acclaimed for her work on “American Fable,” this upcoming film is poised to captivate audiences with its chilling narrative.
According to Deadline’s recent report, real estate mogul Doval Bacall is set to finance “Boyfriend,” marking his first major foray into the entertainment industry with producer Steven Schneider.
Penned by Marlon Chapman, the original screenplay lays the groundwork for a gripping tale. Deadline elaborates on the plot, stating, “The movie tells the story of an intrepid young woman who, obsessed with finding her sister’s abductor, fashions herself into his next victim to uncover the truth.”
Expressing excitement about the collaboration, Doval Bacall remarked, “I am honored to get to work with Steven on this very commercial feature with someone who has mastered a very lucrative genre.”
