‘Saw XI’: Josh Stolberg and Pete Goldfinger Won’t Script Next Year’s Chapter
The Saw series has maintained a consistent creative team across its recent films, notably with writers Josh Stolberg and Pete Goldfinger contributing to Jigsaw, Spiral: From the Book of Saw, and the latest installment, Saw X. However, recent news reveals a change for Saw XI, which was officially announced just last night.
Following Lionsgate’s unveiling of the Saw XI release date set for September 27, 2024, Josh Stolberg himself took to Twitter to share the update.
In his tweet, Stolberg announced, “Pete [Goldfinger] and I are stepping back from this chapter. I’m eagerly anticipating this one as a fan of the franchise. I believe audiences will be satisfied with the team involved.”
As of now, details on the new writing or directing team for Saw XI remain undisclosed. Further updates are anticipated.
Meanwhile, Saw X is now accessible on VOD platforms, as well as in 4K, Blu-ray, and DVD formats. The franchise’s tenth installment concluded its global box office run with an impressive $107.6 million.
It appears that Saw is once again establishing itself as an annual Halloween tradition…
Got a slew of DM‘s today about the Lionsgate @saw announcement. Pete and I are sitting this chapter out. Very excited to see this one as a fan of the franchise. I think people will be pleased with the team. ♥️♥️♥️
