‘Saw X’ Teaser Trailer Offers a Disturbing Twist on the Game of Operation
The Saw franchise has been a longstanding fixture during Halloween seasons, delivering new and gruesome entries for years. After Chris Rock’s spin-off, “Spiral: From the Book of Saw,” tried its hand at introducing a copycat killer, the original is making a comeback, with Tobin Bell reprising his iconic role. “Saw X” has its sights set on reclaiming the spooky holiday and breathing new life into the franchise.
As the promotional campaign gains momentum for this chilling installment, the official social media account for “Saw X” has unveiled an intriguing teaser video. In a report by ComingSoon.net, the tweet accompanying the video bears the caption, “be careful who you put under the knife. #SawX #SawTenber.” The teaser video presents a clever parody of the beloved board game from Milton Bradley, “Operation,” but with a sinister “Saw” twist. The game is humorously rebranded as “Saw-peration,” featuring Jigsaw’s image and the tagline “I want to play a game.” The clip also incorporates eerie laughter into the experience.
The synopsis for “Saw X” provides a glimpse into the plot: “In the Twisted Pictures’ next installment, John Kramer (Tobin Bell) makes a return, exploring the untold chapter of Jigsaw’s final games. Set between the events of ‘Saw I’ and ‘II,’ a sick and desperate John embarks on a journey to Mexico in search of a risky and experimental medical procedure, hoping for a miraculous cure for his cancer. However, he soon discovers that the entire operation is an elaborate scam targeting the most vulnerable. The infamous serial killer reverts to his gruesome work, turning the tables on the con artists in his signature visceral fashion, employing devious, deranged, and ingenious traps.”
Notably, Kevin Greutert, the director behind “Saw VI” and “Saw: The Final Chapter,” returns to helm this installment. Additionally, the screenwriters of “Jigsaw” and “Spiral: From the Book of Saw,” Pete Goldfinger and Josh Stolberg, are back to craft the screenplay. Stolberg has teased that this entry will bring joy to John Kramer fans and has emphasized that it will be a story told from Kramer’s perspective, offering a unique narrative angle.
Prepare to be ensnared in the intricate traps of “Saw X” when it arrives on September 29, promising another dose of suspenseful terror.
