Saw X: Lionsgate Revives Iconic Red Gears Intro for the Franchise’s 10th Chapter!
The highly anticipated Saw X is gearing up to take fans of the franchise on a nostalgic trip down memory lane. As the brand new tenth installment in the series, it promises to bring back familiar faces, Jigsaw (played by Tobin Bell) and Amanda (played by Shawnee Smith), while unfolding a fresh chapter in the twisted saga, set after the events of the original Saw film.
But that’s not the only blast from the past fans can look forward to. We are thrilled to announce that Lionsgate’s iconic “red gears” logo intro is set to make a triumphant return to the big screen in Saw X on September 29, 2023!
To ensure that Saw X captures the essence of classic Saw right from the outset, Lionsgate is resurrecting the retro charm of the “red gears,” a signature feature of their horror releases from years gone by.
Horror enthusiasts, especially die-hard Saw fans, have long clamored for the revival of this classic intro, as those rusty gears are synonymous with the way to commence a Saw movie in proper fashion.
Take a look at Lionsgate’s official announcement video below for a taste of what’s to come!
Lionsgate tantalizingly teases, “The return of Tobin Bell to the franchise furthers Lionsgate and Twisted Pictures’ mission of delivering a film that encapsulates everything Saw fans adore about the series, while also introducing fresh traps and an enigmatic new mystery to unravel.”
“John Kramer (Tobin Bell) makes his triumphant return for the untold chapter of Jigsaw’s final games.”
“Set between the events of Saw I and II, an ailing and desperate John embarks on a risky and experimental medical journey to Mexico, in pursuit of a miracle cure for his cancer. Little does he know that the entire operation is a cruel scam, preying on the most vulnerable.”
“The notorious killer, undeterred by his own suffering, gets back to his gruesome work, turning the tables on the con artists with his trademark visceral style, employing a series of cunning, deranged, and ingenious traps.”
“Saw X” was helmed by director Kevin Greutert, known for his work on “Saw VI” and “Saw 3D,” under the Lionsgate banner.
