Following the release of the official trailer earlier this week, IFC and Shudder have unveiled a striking new poster for the action-horror film Azrael, starring Samara Weaving (Ready or Not, Scream VI).

The film is set to hit theaters on September 27, 2024.

Directed by E.L. Katz (Channel Zero, The Haunting of Bly Manor, Cheap Thrills) and written by Simon Barrett (The Guest, You’re Next, Godzilla x Kong), *Azrael* is a high-concept action-horror film from Republic Pictures.

The story unfolds in a world where silence reigns and follows a devout, female-led community that hunts a young woman (Weaving) who has escaped their captivity. Once recaptured, she faces a ritualistic sacrifice intended to appease an ancient evil lurking in the wilderness. Determined to secure her freedom and survival, she fights against all odds.
