Sam Raimi is stepping back into the horror genre with his upcoming film Send Help, which is slated for a theatrical release on January 30, 2026, by 20th Century Studios.

Starring Rachel McAdams (Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness) and Dylan O’Brien (Love and Monsters), Send Help also features Dennis Haysbert and Chris Pang in key roles.

According to Deadline, Send Help is a survival horror thriller that follows two colleagues (O’Brien and McAdams), who are the sole survivors of a plane crash, stranded on a deserted island. As they navigate their dire circumstances, the pair must overcome their past conflicts and work together to survive. Ultimately, their battle for survival becomes a test of wills and wits.

The screenplay is penned by Damian Shannon and Mark Swift (Freddy vs. Jason, Friday the 13th 2009), with Raimi producing the film alongside Zainab Azizi under Raimi Productions.

Raimi, known for his recent work on the Marvel horror-infused sequel Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, hasn’t directed a full-fledged horror film since Drag Me to Hell in 2009. That film marked Raimi’s return to horror after his successful run with the Spider-Man franchise, and Send Help promises to be another thrilling venture into the genre.
