Upcoming horror film “Rosario” offers a gripping premise as revealed in its first look image, depicting a woman grappling with the eerie presence of her deceased grandmother’s possessed body.

Headlining the cast are Emeraude Toubia, known for her roles in “Shadowhunters” and “With Love,” alongside David Dastmalchian of “Oppenheimer” and “Dune” fame, and José Zúñiga, recognized for his part in “Twilight” and “The Dark Tower.”

Directed by Felipe Vargas in his feature debut, with a screenplay by Alan Trezza, “Rosario” delves into a chilling narrative. It follows Rosario, a Wall Street stockbroker, who finds herself stranded with her grandmother’s lifeless body during a snowstorm. As the night progresses, Rosario becomes the target of supernatural forces inhabiting her grandmother’s corpse, unleashing a family curse that spans generations. With her soul at stake, Rosario must confront her past to survive the malevolent onslaught.

The film is produced by Jon Silk from Silk Mass and Javier Chapa and Phillip Braun from Mucho Mas. Production commenced in Bogotá, Colombia, late last year before concluding in New York City earlier this year. Highland Film Group continues sales at EFM, with the movie currently in post-production.

“Rosario” promises to deliver a compelling blend of intelligence and terror akin to the offerings from Blumhouse Productions, making it a highly anticipated addition to the horror genre landscape. Stay tuned for further updates on this chilling tale.
