Following its world premiere at FrightFest 2023, the gripping single take thriller “Failure!” has found a home for North American distribution with Red Water Entertainment, as reported by Variety.
The film is slated for release in the first quarter of 2025, promising audiences an intense psychological journey presented in three acts.
Directed by Alex Kahuam, “Failure!” unfolds in real-time over an unbroken 87-minute take. The story centers on James, portrayed by Ted Raimi (“Skinner,” “The Quarry,” “Ash vs. Evil Dead,” “Creepshow”), who faces a dire ultimatum from the bank: either accept financial ruin or commit murder to safeguard his family. As the pressure mounts, James finds himself besieged by a series of mysterious characters invading his home and phone, pushing him to the brink of collapse. However, distinguishing between reality and illusion becomes increasingly challenging amidst the chaos.
In addition to Raimi, the cast features Merrick McCartha (“Senior Year”), Melissa Diaz (“Ruthless”), John Paul Medrano (“Seven Days”), Daniel Kuhlman (“Voodoo MacBeth”), and Noel Douglas Orput.
“Failure!” was produced by Kahuam and Raimi, along with Marco De Molina, Kayli Fortun, and Jose D. Rodriguez under Kahuam’s Promotora NAE and De Molina’s Spacebrain Entertainment.
