Emmy Award nominee Sydney Sweeney, renowned for her roles in “The White Lotus” and “Euphoria,” takes the lead in the psychological horror film “Immaculate,” and NEON has delivered on its promise by unveiling the official trailer today.

Scheduled for theatrical release on March 22, “Immaculate” marks a reunion between Sweeney and director Michael Mohan, known for his work on “The Voyeurs.” Mohan directed the film from a screenplay penned by Andrew Lobel.

In “Immaculate,” Sweeney portrays Cecilia, a woman deeply devoted to her faith, who receives an enticing opportunity at a prestigious Italian convent. Her initial warm welcome to the idyllic Italian countryside takes a dark turn as Cecilia uncovers unsettling and horrifying secrets within her new home.

Joining Sweeney in the cast are Simona Tabasco (“The White Lotus”), Alvaro Morte (“Money Heist”), Benedetta Porcaroli (“Baby”), and Dora Romano (“The Hand of God”).

Produced by Sweeney and Jonathan Davino for Fifty-Fifty Films, the project was developed by David Bernad (“The Mule,” “The White Lotus”) in collaboration with Sweeney, following their successful partnership on the Emmy-winning series “The White Lotus.” Teddy Schwarzman and Michael Heimler produce for Black Bear.

The executive producers for Black Bear include John Friedberg and Christopher Casanova, along with Will Greenfield (“Euphoria”).  As anticipation builds for the unsettling and mysterious world of “Immaculate,” the collaboration between the talented cast and production team promises to deliver a gripping psychological horror experience.
