Reckoner: Noomi Rapace Takes Center Stage in Gripping Psychological Thriller
When the initial announcement for the project came out, it was revealed that Christina Hendricks would take the lead role in “Reckoner.” However, according to Deadline, there’s been a change in casting, with Noomi Rapace (known for “Prometheus”) now stepping into the spotlight.
Deadline reports, “Replacing Christina Hendricks, whose departure is due to scheduling conflicts, is Noomi Rapace, acclaimed for her roles in ‘Prometheus’ and ‘Constellation.'”
Nissar Modi, recognized for his work on “Z for Zachariah,” is both writing and directing “Reckoner.”
The storyline revolves around an affluent woman whose meticulously constructed life is thrown into disarray by a young man with ties to a closely guarded secret from her past.
The film is an adaptation of a short story penned by Rachel Ingalls.
Production is a collaboration between XYZ Films and Two & Two Pictures.
In a statement shared by Deadline, Two & Two Pictures expressed their excitement, stating, “We are thrilled to partner with such an exceptionally talented team for ‘Reckoner.’ Having Noomi Rapace on board to complement Nissar’s dynamic directorial debut is truly an honor.”
