Pet Sematary: Bloodlines: Rated R for Horror Violence and Gore
Pet Sematary: Bloodlines, a new prequel movie to the classic Stephen King novel, is coming to Paramount+ this Halloween season.
The film will be rated R for horror violence, gore, and language. It will premiere on Friday, October 6, exclusively on Paramount+ in the United States, Canada, Latin America, and Brazil. On Saturday, October 7, it will be available in all other Paramount+ international markets.
The film is set in 1969 and follows a young Jud Crandall who has dreams of leaving his hometown of Ludlow, Maine behind. However, he soon discovers sinister secrets buried within the town and is forced to confront a dark family history that will forever keep him connected to Ludlow. Banding together with his childhood friends, Jud must fight an ancient evil that has gripped Ludlow since its founding.
Pet Sematary: Bloodlines stars Jackson White, Forrest Goodluck, Jack Mulhern, Henry Thomas, Natalie Alyn Lind, Isabella Star LaBlanc, Pam Grier, and David Duchovny. It is directed by Lindsey Anderson Beer in her directorial debut, with a script written by Beer and Jeff Buhler. The film is produced by Lorenzo di Bonaventura and Mark Vahradian.
The highly anticipated film will be featured in the Paramount+ Peak Screaming collection, which curates fan-favorite horror movies and iconic Halloween episodes from beloved series.
