Olga Kurylenko, known for her role in “Black Widow,” has been cast as the lead in the upcoming home invasion thriller “Misdirection,” directed by Kevin Lewis, the filmmaker behind “Willy’s Wonderland.” According to Deadline, the movie will also star Armand Assante of “American Gangster” fame.

“Misdirection” follows a desperate couple, portrayed by Kurylenko and Oliver Trevena, who resort to executing a series of high-end burglaries in order to repay a mob debt. However, their latest target turns the tables on them, leading to a deadly game of cat and mouse where the hunters become the hunted.

Director Kevin Lewis expressed his excitement about working with the talented cast and team, stating, “I am over the moon to be working with Olga, Armand, Oliver, and the rest of our amazing and talented team on crafting a tight, edge-of-your-seat thriller that will entertain audiences worldwide.”

The screenplay for “Misdirection” was penned by Lacy McClory. The film is produced by Marcus Englefield and George Lee of Storyoscopic Films, along with Oliver Trevena, Michael Mendelsohn of Patriot Pictures, and Matt Drake of Abbott Street Films. Englefield and Lee praised Kevin Lewis’ directorial skills and expressed their anticipation for bringing his vision to life on the big screen, marking their third collaboration with the director.

With the combination of an exciting premise, a talented cast, and Kevin Lewis at the helm, “Misdirection” promises to deliver a thrilling and imaginatively crafted cinematic experience.
