In God is a Bullet, a revenge thriller based on the bestselling novel by Boston Teran, Nikolaj Coster-Waldau (“Game of Thrones,” “Mama”) and a nearly unrecognizable Maika Monroe (“It Follows,” “Watcher”) take on a bloodthirsty, Satanic cult.
Detective Bob Hightower (Coster-Waldau) is the main character of the movie, who investigates the murder of his ex-wife and the abduction of his daughter by a sinister cult. To save his daughter and give Case some closure regarding the cult that stole so much from her, Bob and Case go down the rabbit hole with The Ferryman (Jamie Foxx) with the aid of the cult’s lone female victim escapee, Case Hardin (Monroe). God is a Bullet releases exclusively in theaters on June 23, 2023, and digitally on July 11.
Nick Cassavetes (Alpha Dog, John Q, The Notebook) adapted the vengeance thriller for the big screen and served as director. Paul Johansson, January Jones, David Thornton, Jonathan Tucker, Ethan Suplee, and Brendan Sexton III are also featured.

Patriot Pictures’ Michael Mendelson stated in a press statement, “We are looking forward to working with Wayward and are so happy that God is a Bullet will be hitting theaters across the country this summer. Films that keep viewers on the edge are in demand now that audiences are returning. A wicked, action-packed, cinematic revenge classic is being released by Nick and me with an incredible, international cast and crew.
“I’ve been trying to tell this great story for the last 18+ years,” Cassavetes continued. It pulls absolutely no punches and is rough, brutal, and full of two wonderful but damaged people. I love it! There’s nothing else out there like it, not even close!”
Michael Mendelsohn of Patriot Pictures and Donald V. Allen are the producers of the movie. Co-producing are Jim Steele and Kim H. Winther. Executive producing is Natalie Perrotta, Paul Johansson, Sidney Kimmel, Jamie Foxx, Chuck Pacheco, Jim Steele, Santiago García Galván.
