Bill Skarsgård stars as Nosferatu/Count Orlok in the film.

Robert Eggers’ *Nosferatu* tells a gothic tale of obsession, set in 19th century Germany. It follows a tormented young woman who becomes the target of an ancient Transylvanian vampire, bringing with him a wave of terror.

The cast also includes Willem Dafoe, Nicholas Hoult, Emma Corrin, Lily-Rose Depp, Aaron Taylor-Johnson (from ‘Kraven the Hunter’), Simon McBurney, and Ralph Ineson.

Eggers, known for ‘The Witch’ and ‘The Northman’, both directs and writes the script. He is producing the film alongside Chris Columbus, Eleanor Columbus, Jeff Robinov, and John Graham.

The original ‘Nosferatu’, directed by F.W. Murnau in 1922, was a silent film that told the story of Count Orlok, a vampire who becomes infatuated with a real-estate agent’s wife. This unofficial adaptation of Bram Stoker’s ‘Dracula’ led to nearly all copies being destroyed. Werner Herzog also made a notable version of the classic tale in 1979.
