Marlon Wayans Takes the Lead in Sports-Themed Horror Film ‘Goat,’ Produced by Jordan Peele
Jordan Peele’s production company, Monkeypaw Productions, secured the rights to a horror movie pitch titled “Goat” a couple of years ago, and an update has been provided by Deadline.
In this sports-themed psychological horror, Marlon Wayans is set to take the lead, with Justin Tipping, known for “Kicks,” directing the film. The project, originating from a pitch by Zack Akers and Skip Bronkie, revolves around a promising young athlete who receives an invitation to train with a team’s retiring star.
Marlon Wayans, recognized for his comedic and acting skills, has a horror background with notable roles in the Scary Movie franchise. He recently returned to the horror genre in Netflix’s “The Curse of Bridge Hollow.”
Produced by Jordan Peele, alongside Win Rosenfeld, Ian Cooper, and Jamal Watson, “Goat” promises a unique blend of sports and psychological horror. Executive producers for the film include David Kern and Kate Oh.
