Mark Pellington, Director of ‘The Mothman Prophecies’, to Helm Action Thriller ‘MOM’
Acclaimed filmmaker Mark Pellington (The Mothman Prophecies, Arlington Road) is set to direct the action-thriller MOM for Roundtable Entertainment.
The film follows a single mother who embarks on a daring cross-country rescue mission to find her teenage daughter who has been trafficked. The story is based on true events and is written by Brent Jordan.
“We were thrilled to find a filmmaker like Mark Pellington to bring this harrowing story to life,” said producer John Baldecchi. “He has a unique ability to create intense and emotionally resonant thrillers, and we know he will do justice to this material.”
Pellington added, “MOM is a fast-paced, emotional thriller that explores the true cost of violence and the power of a mother’s love. I’m excited to collaborate with Roundtable on this project and bring this story to the screen.”
Executive producers on the film include Dominic Ianno, Jason Resnick, Sarah Donnelly, Gabe Torres, and Mark Pellington.
Production is scheduled to begin in early 2024.
