Magnet Releasing Secures ‘The Seeding’ from Tribeca Horror Film, Set for 2024 Release
A sneak peek image from “The Seeding,” an upcoming horror film recently acquired for distribution in the United States by Magnet Releasing, has been revealed, according to Variety.
Variety reports that Magnet is planning to release the film in the early part of next year.
Directed by Barnaby Clay, “The Seeding” marks his feature directorial debut and revolves around a hiker who becomes disoriented in the desert and seeks refuge with a woman who resides alone. However, he soon uncovers the unsettling possibility that her presence there may not be voluntary.
The movie stars Scott Haze, known for his role in “Venom,” and Kate Lyn Sheil from “V/H/S.”
Eamonn Bowles and Dori Begley, co-CEOs of Magnolia Pictures, expressed their thoughts on the film, stating, “Barnaby Clay has delivered a truly unsettling, shockingly nightmarish film with ‘The Seeding.'”
Clay himself shared his excitement, saying, “When you set out to make a low-budget film, there are a few dream scenarios you hold in the back of your mind, they keep you going through the many challenges stalking the path.”
He continued, “Having Magnolia’s genre arm Magnet release this film was one such hope. They consistently release bold, imaginative films that stand the test of time, and I’m thrilled ‘The Seeding’ will now sit alongside such titles.”
