Lucy Fry and Madeline Brewer Star in Horror Film ‘I Live Here Now’
Screen Daily has reported the completion of production for the psychological horror film “I Live Here Now,” with Utopia gearing up for a global sales launch at the European Film Market in February.
The unveiled first look image showcases the cast, featuring genre regulars Lucy Fry from “Wolf Creek,” Madeline Brewer known for “Cam,” Matt Rife of “Natural Selection,” and Sheryl Lee from “Twin Peaks.”
Directed by Julie Pacino, the psychological horror delves into the story of a woman, played by Lucy Fry, who becomes ensnared in a secluded hotel where the violent echoes of her past manifest, blurring the boundaries between her darkest nightmares and the real world.
Julie Pacino expressed her excitement about the project, stating, “I am thrilled to unveil this deeply personal project with Utopia. ‘I Live Here Now’ explores fear and discomfort through the eyes of a woman who has been conditioned by societal restraints to disconnect from her own body. I hope this movie can create a unifying experience and entertain anyone who watches it. It’s a wild ride, and I can’t wait to share it.”
Marie Zeniter, the head of sales at Utopia, shared enthusiasm about presenting the film at EFM and emphasized Utopia’s commitment to supporting female directors in the genre space. Zeniter added, “’I Live Here Now’ operates on so many levels. It’s sexy, dangerous, has a great cast, and is incredibly topical.”
With its enticing blend of elements, “I Live Here Now” promises to offer a gripping and thought-provoking cinematic experience, exploring themes of fear, discomfort, and societal constraints through the lens of psychological horror.
