When it comes to the horror genre, the woods always hide something ominous. A fresh trailer for the New Zealand psychological thriller “Loop Track” suggests that the danger might come in the form of an anxious man on the brink of a breakdown or, perhaps, something far more monstrous.

Dark Sky Films is set to release “Loop Track” on VOD and Digital platforms on December 1.

In “Loop Track,” Ian, a man teetering on the edge of a nervous breakdown, vanishes from the world to embark on a hike in the New Zealand wilderness. His attempts to avoid other hikers prove futile, and he becomes entangled in their worlds. However, an underlying feeling persists that they are being pursued by someone or something malevolent. As Ian’s paranoia intensifies, the other hikers grow wary of him. Cagey about his past, sleepless, and prone to making unsettling claims, Ian becomes a source of concern. Far removed from society, Ian begins questioning his own sanity, ultimately plunging into a bloody battle for survival.

This New Zealand horror film was both written and directed by Thomas Sainsbury, who also stars in the movie alongside Hayden J. Weal and Tawanda Manyimo. The producers include Gabriel Lunte, Jonathan Potton, and Milon Tesiram.
