Lifetime’s Initial 2024 Lineup Showcases ‘Crowdsource Murder’
Shudder’s horror host, Joe Bob Briggs, once claimed, “People ask me, where are all the great exploitation movies today? The low-budget horror films? They’re on the Lifetime Network!” And he might have a point. Lifetime’s unique brand of thrillers offers plenty of entertainment value, and with the arrival of a new year, a fresh lineup is in store.
Deadline has released details on Lifetime’s Quarter 1: 2024 slate, promising an exciting collection of fourteen original thrillers premiering in the early months of the year.
Here’s a rundown of the upcoming Lifetime thrillers in the first quarter of 2024:
- “Dying For Fame” (January 4 at 8pm ET/PT): Featuring Dylan Raine and Amelie Anstett, this story follows career-driven tabloid reporter Anna assigned to profile influencer Juliet. However, Anna discovers Juliet’s fake fanbase, leading to revelations about a lurking stalker.
- “The Wrong Life Coach” (January 11 at 8pm ET/PT): Starring Vivica A. Fox, Morgan Bradley, Allison McAtee, Michael Paré, Tracy Nelson, Eric Roberts, and Jackeé Harry, this thriller centers on Jordan, who seeks help from life coach Liz, unaware of Liz’s sinister motives that jeopardize her job.
- “A Party to Die For” (January 18 at 8pm ET/PT): Jonetta Kaiser and Kara Royster headline this narrative about Sadie, seeking change in her life and finding a friend in socialite Jessica. However, a tragic event at an afterparty complicates their bond.
- “Crowdsource Murder” (January 25 at 8pm ET/PT): Nicole Weber, James Hyde, Francesca Barker McCormick, Clark Moore, and Lexi Minetree feature in this thriller, where a mother, Monica, begins questioning the motives of a generous donor to her daughter’s medical fund.
- “Sabotaging the Squad” (February 1 at 8pm ET/PT): Meyon Jacobs, Lauren Mayo, Olivia Buckle, and Brittany Goodwin are at the center of this story where Missy fights against sabotage and unexpected deaths while coaching her daughter’s cheer squad.
- “Tall, Dark and Dangerous” (February 8 at 8pm ET/PT): Starring Jamie Bernadette, Matthew Pohlkamp, Michael Paré, Tracy Nelson, Tom Sandoval, Eric Roberts, and Jackeé Harry, this Valentine’s story follows Alice, who discovers her perfect match on a dating app, only to unravel a disturbing identity theft.
- “She’s Obsessed with My Husband” (February 15 at 8pm ET/PT): Alissa Filoramo, Matthew Pohlkamp, Aryè Campos, and Taylor Castro feature in this tale where Violet, obsessed with an old flame, aims to destroy his marriage.
- “The Ex-Obsession” (February 22 at 8pm ET/PT): Chaley Rose, B. J. Britt, and Anthony Dalton II take the lead in a story of secrets and jealousy when Kim discovers her ex-boyfriend works with her husband.
- “Lonely Crime Fanatic” (February 29 at 8pm ET/PT): Brenna Skalski, Ian Reier Michaels, Alexandra Ponce, and David Alan Hurt star in a thriller where a romance turns into an unsettling obsession.
- “Danger on Party Island” (March 20 at 8pm ET/PT): Lindsey Dresbach, Adam Harper, James Bobo, and Kate Dailey headline a story about a woman seeking answers about her sister’s death on an infamous party island.
- “My Father’s Murder in Greece” (March 21 at 8pm ET/PT): Starring Cass Huckabay and Maeve Quinlan, this thriller follows Allie’s quest to uncover family secrets after her father’s murder in Greece.
