Following her role in the Joker sequel, Lady Gaga is set to appear in the upcoming second season of Netflix’s Wednesday, according to an exclusive report from Entertainment Weekly. While full details about her character remain under wraps, the singer and actress is currently filming her scenes in Europe.

Wednesday Season 2 is slated for release on Netflix in 2025, with Jenna Ortega returning as the titular character, Wednesday Addams. Luis Guzmán and Catherine Zeta-Jones will reprise their roles as Gomez and Morticia Addams, respectively.

The cast also includes Joy Sunday as Bianca, Joanna Lumley as Grandmama, Emma Myers as Enid, Steve Buscemi as Barry Dort, Billie Piper as Capri, and Thandiwe Newton as Dr. Fairburn. Hunter Doohan, Victor Dorobantu, Moosa Mostafa, Luyanda Unati Lewis-Nyawo, Georgie Farmer, Isaac Ordonez, Evie Templeton, Owen Painter, and Noah Taylor round out the returning cast.

Season 2 will feature several notable guest stars, including Jamie McShane, Frances O’Connor, Haley Joel Osment, Heather Matarazzo, Joonas Suotamo, Fred Armisen, and Christopher Lloyd. Christopher Lloyd, who portrayed Uncle Fester in the 1990s Addams Family films, will appear alongside Fred Armisen, who plays the character in the Wednesday series.

Wednesday is a supernatural mystery series that follows Wednesday Addams as she navigates her years at Nevermore Academy, grappling with her emerging psychic powers, solving a string of mysterious murders, and uncovering a dark secret tied to her parents. The show’s co-creators, Alfred Gough and Miles Millar, are serving as writers and showrunners, with Tim Burton executive producing and directing several episodes.

While plot details for the second season are still scarce, Jenna Ortega has teased that Season 2 will be even darker and bolder than the first. “We’ve decided we want to lean into the horror more,” Ortega said last year, promising a thrilling new chapter for the Addams family.
