Jordan Peele-Produced Horror Film ‘Goat’ Gets New Title ‘Him’ for 2025 Release
Monkeypaw Productions’ upcoming horror film, previously known as “Goat,” has undergone a title change and will now be released as “Him.” Set to hit theaters on September 19, 2025, courtesy of Universal, this psychological horror tale promises a spine-chilling experience.
Justin Tipping, acclaimed for his work on “Kicks,” will take the directorial reins for “Him,” delving into the world of football with a story that explores fame, power, and the relentless pursuit of excellence.
The plot, based on a concept by Zack Akers and Skip Bronkie, revolves around a talented young athlete who receives an invitation to train alongside a retiring star player. As he delves deeper into the inner sanctum of the sports world, he discovers dark secrets that lead to a harrowing journey.
Marlon Wayans leads the cast, supported by Julia Fox (“Uncut Gems”), Tyriq Withers (“Atlanta”), Tim Heidecker, Jim Jefferies, and Grammy nominee Tierra Whack.
Jordan Peele, renowned for his groundbreaking work in the horror genre, serves as a producer alongside Win Rosenfeld, Ian Cooper, and Jamal Watson. David Kern and Kate Oh are onboard as executive producers.
Monkeypaw Productions, the creative force behind Peele’s acclaimed films like “Get Out” and “Us,” as well as Nia DaCosta’s “Candyman,” the reboot of “The Twilight Zone,” and HBO’s “Lovecraft Country,” continues to push boundaries and redefine horror storytelling.
