Mick Taylor, the notorious Outback murderer, is set to return in ‘Wolf Creek: Legacy‘, a reboot of Greg McLean’s horror franchise. This new installment follows two movies and two seasons of the television series.

Deadline reports that Greg McLean, the franchise creator, is back as a producer, while John Jarratt will reprise his role as the serial killer Mick Taylor.

The report also reveals that Jeremy Bolt, known for his work on ‘Resident Evil’, has joined the project as a producer. Sean Lahiff, who previously worked as the editor on ‘Wolf Creek 2’, is set to direct. Kristian Moliere (‘The Babadook’) and Bianca Martino are also producing.

The plot centers on a family of American tourists who inadvertently enter Taylor’s hunting grounds. When the parents sacrifice themselves to protect their children, the kids find themselves alone and hunted in the remote Australian wilderness. The story will follow these two resourceful young survivors as they face off against the aging predator.

Jay Ryan (‘It Chapter Two’) will join the cast of ‘Wolf Creek: Legacy’.

Greg McLean expressed his excitement about the project: “I’ve always believed in the power of fresh perspectives, and I’m thrilled to introduce Sean Lahiff as the director of *Wolf Creek: Legacy*. Sean has been part of this world for years, and this new chapter is something I’m incredibly excited about. It’s a bold story that respects the franchise’s roots while exploring new directions.”

Director Sean Lahiff commented, “My goal is to deliver the horror and suspense that fans of the *Wolf Creek* franchise expect, while adding new layers to the story. We’re diving into the psychological terror of being hunted, exploring the fear and resilience of the young characters, and capturing the nightmarish quality of the Outback. This story aims to keep audiences on the edge of their seats and tap into the primal fears that dark fairytales often explore.”
