Jason Baker and Tom Savini to Oversee Makeup Effects in ‘The Cousin,’ an Upcoming Horror Film
Production for the upcoming horror film “The Cousin” is slated to kick off this October, and exciting news has emerged regarding the project. As reported by Bloody Disgusting, the film will enlist the expertise of a true horror legend.
Written and directed by Alexander Garcia, “The Cousin” is set to feature special effects and makeup artistry from Jason Baker of Callosum Studios, as well as the iconic makeup effects guru, Tom Savini.
In “The Cousin,” the story unfolds as a family receives an unexpected visit from their cousin Sarah, who becomes their houseguest. However, as Sarah’s presence lingers, strange and unsettling events begin to plague the town. Soon, the family finds themselves thrust into the midst of Sarah’s dark and enigmatic secret.
The film boasts an impressive cast, with Virginia Madsen (“Candyman”) taking the lead, alongside Dylan Walsh (“The Stepfather”), Teri Polo (“Meet The Parents”), Casimere Jollette (“Perpetrator”), Emily Skinner (“Crown Lake”), Ronni Hawk (“On My Block”), Madison Shamoun (“The Lake”), and Tony Pierce (“The Bodyguard”).
