Amber Heard, renowned for her role in “All the Boys Love Mandy Lane,” is making a spine-tingling return to the horror genre with the upcoming film “In the Fire,” set to be released by Saban Films in theaters, On Demand, and Digital this October.

“In the Fire” is set to hit theaters and home screens on Friday, October 13th, promising an eerie and captivating experience for horror enthusiasts.

According to early previews on Rotten Tomatoes, the plot revolves around Amber Heard’s character, a doctor who embarks on a journey to a remote plantation to provide medical care to a young boy exhibiting extraordinary abilities. However, the local priest, played by Eduardo Noriega, is convinced that the boy is possessed and dismisses conventional medicine as insufficient to cure him. “In the Fire” marks the directorial and co-writing debut in the horror genre for Conor Allyn, best known for his 2021 neo-Western drama, “No Man’s Land.”

Amber Heard recently shared her insights with Variety, describing “In the Fire” as “a meditation on the almost supernatural powers of love,” with a narrative centered on a strong-willed and independent woman at the turn of the 20th century.

Joining Amber Heard in the cast are Lorenzo McGovern Zaini, Sophie Amber, Luca Calvani, and Yari Gugliucci, promising a stellar ensemble for this chilling tale.

As Halloween approaches, horror enthusiasts can look forward to a lineup of films to set the mood. Titles like “Five Nights at Freddy’s,” “Satanic Hispanics,” “Shaky Shivers,” “Saw X,” “Pet Sematary: Bloodlines,” and “Totally Killer” are on the horizon.
