‘Imaginary’: Lionsgate/Blumhouse Horror Movie Unveils Intriguing Poster
In the upcoming horror movie “Imaginary,” Lionsgate and Blumhouse present an unsettling companion in the form of teddy bear Chauncey, as revealed in the newly released official poster.
Contrary to his name, Chauncey is far from imaginary, and he’s definitely not your friend. The chilling poster, showcased below, gives a glimpse into the eerie world of this horror thriller.
DeWanda Wise, known for her role in “Jurassic World Dominion,” takes on a dual role as the star and producer of “Imaginary,” set to hit theaters on March 8, 2024. The storyline revolves around Jessica, who relocates with her family to her childhood home. Trouble ensues when her youngest stepdaughter, Alice, forms an unsettling attachment to a seemingly innocent stuffed bear named Chauncey found in the basement. What starts as playful interactions between Alice and Chauncey takes a sinister turn, raising concerns for Jessica. As the plot unfolds, it becomes clear that Chauncey is more than just a harmless toy bear.
The cast includes Tom Payne, Taegen Burns, Pyper Braun, Veronica Falcon, and Betty Buckley, with a screenplay crafted by Jeff Wadlow, Greg Erb, and Jason Oremland.
Jason Blum of Blumhouse serves as the producer, while Jeff Wadlow, known for his work on films like “Cry Wolf,” “Kick-Ass 2,” “Truth or Dare,” “Fantasy Island,” and “The Curse of Bridge Hollow,” takes on the roles of both producer and director for “Imaginary.” Ryan Turek is set to Executive Produce Wadlow’s intriguing horror project.
