The world of horror fiction has seen many legends, but R.L. Stine holds a special place in our hearts. His Zombie Town has been a favorite for many, and now, it’s getting the Hollywood treatment. But if you’re expecting a direct adaptation, think again. This movie promises surprises at every turn.

While the movie draws inspiration from R.L. Stine’s masterpiece, it ventures into uncharted territories. The storyline has been revamped, offering a fresh perspective that’s bound to intrigue both fans of the original and newcomers alike. The trailer introduces us to the world of horror filmmaker Len Carver, brought to life by the iconic Dan Aykroyd. But that’s not all. Chevy Chase joins the fray as Mezmerian, adding another layer of excitement to the mix. The focus shifts from the book’s protagonists, Mike and Karen, to these Hollywood legends.

Len Carver’s latest zombie film is not just another movie. Premiering in Carverville on Halloween night, it has a peculiar effect on its viewers, turning the town’s residents into zombies. The only hope? Mezmerian. But the solution might not be as straightforward as one would hope.

Peter Lepeniotis takes the director’s chair for this adaptation, with a screenplay co-written by Michael Samonek and Michael Schwartz. Their combined creativity promises a film filled with unexpected twists and turns. Zombie Town is set to premiere exclusively in theaters on September 1.
