Official ‘Companion’ Trailer Unveils the Sci-Fi Plot of Thatcher’s New Horror Film
Saban Films, in collaboration with writer/director Viljar Bøe, introduces the peculiar and enigmatic genre film, “Good Boy,” which is currently screening in select theaters. Simultaneously, it is available for digital streaming and On Demand starting today.
The film’s premise revolves around Sigrid, who believes she has found the perfect match in the charming and handsome Christian. However, there’s a twist: Christian shares his home with a man who behaves like a pet dog. Sigrid, attempting to maintain an open mind, continues the relationship. Yet, she soon begins to discern a disturbing undercurrent in Christian’s world. It appears that “puppy play” may not be as innocent as it initially seems.
In the exclusive clip provided above, you’ll witness the unsettling revelation that the man donning the dog costume is far from a willing participant in this twisted game.
“I’d rather get killed than get caught escaping from him,” the man confides to Sigrid while she takes him out for a walk. He grimly adds, “There’s no point in running. He’s prepared for that.”
Take a look at the clip and revisit the previously released trailer for a glimpse into the unnerving world of “Good Boy.”
The film features Gard Løkke, Katrine Lovise Øpstad Fredriksen, Amalie Willoch Njaastad, and Nicolai Narvesen Lied in its cast. It carries an “R” rating for its violent content and language.
Viljar Bøe, known for directing films like “Til Freddy” (2020) and “Theodor” (2022), brings his unique vision to “Good Boy.”
